Florida has made significant progress on cannabis policy in recent years. It established a state-regulated medical cannabis program, and some local governments have adopted measures aimed at reducing punishments for low-level offenses. But prohibition policies are still creating problems for the state and its citizens, and more comprehensive reform is needed.
